Verse of the Week

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Romans 12:1-2

2026 Bible Reading Challenge

How will you read your Bible more this year?

Reading the Bible deepens your understanding and connection with God. One effective approach is to set a specific and manageable daily reading schedule, such as reading a chapter a day or dedicating 15 to 20 minutes each morning.

Consider using a Bible reading plan, many of which are available online or in Bible apps, that guides you through different sections over the year. Engaging with a study group or participating in a Bible discussion class can offer additional insights and accountability. Additionally, incorporating journaling into your reading practice can help you reflect on passages and apply their teachings to your life.

Remember, the key is consistency and making the process meaningful and enjoyable.

To grow in the knowledge of God and to live in light of His truth, it’s important that we set aside focused time to study His Word.

Serving God

There are many areas of service within our church, and workers are always needed. Some duties and activities are on a rotating schedule, others are needed on a regular basis. But all of them are vital to our faith family and God’s work at The Cross. Please prayerfully consider how you can serve the Lord this year.
